Any .IO Domain Name may be registered provided:
- The Domain Name has not been reserved or previously allocated.
- The Domain name has 3 or more (but less than 64) letters or characters, and
there is not "-" at the beginning or end of the name.
- The use of the Domain name does not infringe someone else's rights.
- All applicants agree to be bound by the Terms
and Conditions (new window).
- Applicants agree to be bound by the Rules
(new window) that govern the allocation of names within the .IO domain.
- Applicants agree to be bound by the Dispute
Resolution Policy (new window) for Domain Names registered with NIC.IO.

Unable to connect to Secure Server?
Applicants who use Proxy servers or Firewalls may be unable to access SSL Servers.
In such cases please use our non-secure Registration Page.
Valid applications are processed within 24 hours of receipt and will be entered
into the .IO servers located in London, New York, Amsterdam, Melbourne and Tokyo.
